The problem
The EU Whistleblowing Directive requires you to keep reports confidential, complete, and unaltered. But almost every tool proves this with its own audit log — controlled by the same company that could change the record. That is self-attestation, not proof. When integrity is questioned, self-attestation is exactly what fails.
